REHUBS Mission is strengthening climate resilience in rural areas by combining adaptation solutions, advanced digital tools, and participatory governance tailored to local needs. It develops and validates climate risk assessment models, early‑warning systems, flood/drought modelling, smart irrigation and circular water recovery, wildfire detection, and a Risk Assessment & Adaptation Platform (RAAP), supported by an Online Academy and AI chatbot. Implementation is organized through Rural Micro Hubs (living‑lab style hubs) operating across four demonstration clusters, with replication in three additional regions, to embed adaptation into local governance and scale uptake.
ITC focuses on two key areas: (1) leading establishment of Rural Micro Hubs, conduct stakeholder mapping and engagement (MAA methodology) and coordinate capacity‑building, (2) managing replication and scaling of Rural Micro Hubs, representing Slovenian replication region.
This project has received funding from the Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No. 101214051.
