Research Ethics Committee ITC Murska Sobota
The Research Ethics Committee acts as a consultative body within ITC Murska Sobota. It is responsible for the ethical review of research projects involving human participants, the processing of personal data or other ethically sensitive content.
The purpose of the Committee is to promote responsible, legal and ethically sound research both within ITC Murska Sobota and in partner organisations.
The Committee:
- gives expert opinions on research projects,
- issues certificates of ethical clearance,
- advises researchers on ethical dilemmas in the research process.
The Committee’s operation is based on the applicable legislation (ZRID, GDPR), the principles of research integrity and the Declaration of Helsinki.
Composition of the Committee
The Committee is composed of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chairperson and four members. Members serve a term of three years, with the possibility of reappointment.
