OFELIA strengthens interregional value chains in functional foods and medicinal and aromatic plants (FFMAPs) by deploying and demonstrating key digital technologies across regions. The project coordinates use cases that apply blockchain for end-to-end traceability, IoT for real‑time monitoring, AI for predictive analytics, and cloud platforms for collaborative workflows. It complements demo environments with an open call providing financial support to innovators, plus business support, IPR/standardization advice, training, and targeted dissemination to accelerate market uptake.

ITC is coordinating deployment in technology demonstrators and represents a technology demonstrator from Slovenia, implementing blockchain-based traceability and adoption of a customized ERP system for small FFMAP producers.
